AI Usage at K9 Stride

Readiness scores and recommendations are indicators, not conclusions. We never diagnose injury or illness, and we always encourage veterinary input where something looks off. As set out in our Terms & Conditions, AI-generated insights are not a substitute for advice from a veterinarian, veterinary physiotherapist, trainer, coach, or other registered dog advisory professional — we don't see your dog in person, and neither does our AI.

Recommendations are weighted towards recovery, life stage, and long-term soundness, rather than pushing for more workload. If our AI is ever uncertain, it will err towards caution rather than intensity.

We recognise that AI comes at a cost — computationally and environmentally — so we don't run AI continuously in the background.

AI Insights (available on the Insights and Complete subscription tiers) are cached after generation and only refreshed when you manually choose to regenerate them.

This reduces the amount of AI processing running across the app, so AI is used deliberately, only when you want a fresh read on your dog's data.

Each year, we make a donation to an environmental cause to help offset our AI usage. Details of this donation are updated publicly and shared below:
